One site I strongly recommend and use all the time for our own US travels is TripAdvisor.com (I have no connection to it) but its been right on in terms of reviews every time about everything from hotels to restaurants. When we first read about the VISA process (and the cost!), I was tempted to just let go of the whole idea. A zillion forms, then waiting in tons of security lines, and finally an interview - took the whole morning and wasn't unstressful. We ended up going through with it, back when I was involved in some business negotiations which we thought might require a business visit to the US at some point. It's why we went ahead with it.
